Jerome A. “Jerry” Cattau, 65

Jerome A. “Jerry” Cattau, 65, of 211 S. Penn St., Punxsutawney, died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021, at his home following an illness.

Born in North Tonawanda, New York, he was the son of the late Arthur M. Cattau and Virginia Beam Cattau.

He was a 1974 graduate of Brockway High School and worked as a laborer throughout his life. He was involved in the community and in various organizations in Punxsutawney.

On July 9, 1977, in Reynoldsville, he married the former Linda Condron.

He enjoyed riding Trykes, his favorites being the pumpkin colored and the yellow one that he built. He recently rode in the Punxsutawney Halloween Parade.

Those surviving, in addition to his mother and wife, are his son, Jerome Wayne Cattau; his brother, Malcolm; his sisters, Sue Ann and Janet; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

His father preceded him in death.

Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, was entrusted with final arrangements for Mr. Cattau.
