Joan A. Peace, 75

Joan A. Peace, 75, of Punxsutawney, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

She was born Dec. 2, 1946, in Adrian, a daughter of the late Twila (Siple) Frantz Bishop and Charles James Frantz.

On July 22, 1967, she married John W. Peace, who survives.

Joan loved to bake. She also enjoyed shopping and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was a member of the One Life Church of Punxsutawney.

In addition to her husband, John, she is survived by two sons, Rick Peace of Punxsutawney, and Randy Peace and wife Krista of Brockway; three grandchildren, Trenton Peace, Marcus Copelli and Maya Peace; two brothers, Bud Frantz of North Tonawanda, New York, and John Frantz and wife Marge of Punxsutawney; four sisters, Helen Ramsel of Lewisville, Ohio, Norma Smith of Punxsutawney, Lois Spitz and husband Tom of Reynoldsville and Kathy Ecelbarger and husband George of Punxsutawney; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Frantz, and four sisters, Dorothy Payne, Margaret Beck, Alma Fye and Carol Mills.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
